The tribes of Iraq's al-Anbar warned on Sunday against attempts to destabilize the province.
Earlier, a military convoy of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) rode into the province, prompting the warning.
Ahmed Abu Risha, head of the Awakening (Sahwa) National Council, warned PMF leader Faleh Fayad that the Anbar tribes will stand against any attempt to destabilize security in the province.
He added that he will hold Fayad responsible for any meddling in the security of the area.
Meanwhile, Al Arabiya reported that head of Iran's Quds Force, Esmail Qaani arrived in Baghdad on Sunday to meet with the leaders of pro-Iran armed factions.
He also met with leaders of the pro-Iran Shiite Coordination Framework amid reports that he may hold talks with rival Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.
