We have now faced the Tory government’s fourth budget of the year, presented by the fourth Chancellor of the year, under the direction of the third Prime Minister.
But despite all the hirings, firings and screeching U-turns, it’s been the same old Tories throughout. Every line-up in this disastrous game of Tory musical chairs has been as out-of-touch as the last. Every budget piles more hardship on working people and every time they expect you to foot the bill for their mistakes. This budget was no different.
Instead of delivering the help we need to get through the cost of living crisis, it was a desperate attempt to mop up a Tory economic catastrophe.
