Anarchists at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., have reportedly called for the beheadings of school administrators during their anti-Israel encampment. Demonstrators on campus were captured on video calling for the use of a guillotine on GW President Ellen Granberg and other administrators.
Chants of 'Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine' echoed as some protesters specifically targeted Christopher Alan Bracey, GW’s African American provost, accusing him of assaulting students. Calls for Bracey and other administrators to be sent 'off to the gallows' were heard during the demonstration.
The situation escalated as members of the encampment held a mock court hearing to determine the fate of the administrators. A leader of the encampment acted as a judge, delivering a fake verdict as a proxy for Bracey sat before them.
The mock court proceedings continued with verdicts calling for the beheading of GWU’s board of trustees and the school’s president. Chaos ensued in GWU’s U-Yard throughout the night, with the agitators resisting police officers who were called to restore order.
This incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of the campus community at George Washington University. The university administration has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the events that transpired during the anti-Israel encampment.
