So, this is where we’re at now. An upcoming extraction shooter titled BR1: Infinite is apparently offering a pay-in gameplay loop where you spend real money to play while getting a chance to make some of that back for each in-game kill.
That is according to Polygon (via Eurogamer), which writes that BR1: Infinite‘s gimmick requires players to pay to play, and then they’ll get money based on in-game performance, chiefly successful extractions and in-game kills. There are free servers for honing your skills worry-free, while, as Polygon writes, actual servers have pay-in fees ranging from as low as ¢10 to $10, which probably also determines how much you can earn.
Dying in the game means you have to pay again to respawn.
