In 2013, Nicolas Travis started developing skincare products and three years later he launched the Allies of Skin brand.
"After experimenting with my own skin and trying to fix problems with every type of product you can think of, I realised that the only way to get the results I wanted was to create formulas myself," he said. "I've spent the last decade developing and iterating on formulas, combining and experimenting with new active ingredients, and finding the right balance and amount of each one."

As an oral medication, tranexamic acid is prescribed to control bleeding while topical application address hyperpigmentation. Arbutin, niacinamide, other brighteners and peptides in the new formula further help restore radiant skin.
Travis has a background in biomedical and pharmaceutical science. The native of Singapore also acknowledges traditional medicine and herbal therapies, used to promote healthy skin.
A fermented blend of reishi and shiitake, the clinically-proven Mushroom Complex is another crucial ingredient in the concentrated brightening serum. Formulated without irritating ingredients, it's a solution for all skin types, especially for those with sensitive and dull skin.
"I founded Allies of Skin to create supercharged skincare formulas that work for every skin type. I base my formulas in science, but always try to push the boundaries of what is possible," he said.
