Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has discussed her impending return to the ITV soap.
Amy Walsh, 34, from Bradford, left her role as Tracy Metcalfe at the start of the year. The acting star is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to daughter Bonnie Mae.
Amy and partner, former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith, are currently enjoying spending time with their newborn. Although, as reported by Digital Spy, Amy has given a little hint about her Emmerdale return.

The character of Tracy left the village at the start of 2022 to take on a new job in Nottingham. Amy has discussed how she sees Tracy returning to the village.
Amy explained: “If she fails (at the new job), then she can always come back, which she will probably do in about a year's time." It feels very likely we’ll see Amy back in the soap in the near future - perhaps as part of the soap’s 50th-anniversary celebrations later this year.
We might even see partner Toby-Alexander Smith join the soap when Amy returns. As we've previously reported, head of digital PR at Embryo digital marketing agency, Jo Threlfall, explained there is a good chance the actor could soon be in Emmerdale.
"Toby-Alexander Smith's career has grown massively since his debut on EastEnders. And since his dramatic departure from the soap, it has opened a window for the actor to be able to explore other options in his acting career."
It is rumoured Toby-Alexander Smith could pocket £500,000 a year should he join Emmerdale. As ever, we’ll keep you posted on Emmerdale’s comings and goings.
