Amy MacDonald shares 'endless gratitude' as fake Tinder profile says she is 23

Amy McDonald has shared her 'endless gratitude' to the troll using her photos on dating app Tinder - as the fake profile states that the singer is 23.

The 35-year-old Scottish singer posted on her social media about the fake Tinder profile, but saw the funny side of the photo-stealing. The profile states that Amy is actually named Mercedes, is 23-years-old and is recently single, looking for a clubbing partner.

The singer tweeted: "Ok - my first thought about the person using my photo on tinder is actually endless gratitude that they think I can happily pass for 23."

She also added below the original tweet: "Also, I like the freckles that you’ve photoshopped onto my face.

"Not mad about the clubbing or being called Mercedes. Next time maybe Lamborghini or Ferrari."

Many of Amy's followers also found the entire interaction hilarious, as one Twitter user wrote: "I always wonder what is the thought process behind stuff like this... I mean, the point of tinder is to meet at some point. What would that person say? "well this is awkward" or would she just hide behind the tree and start singing This is the Life?"

Another said: "Could have at least quoted some of your lyrics too in their bio. Thoughtless!"

And a third wrote: "Some people will go to any length to get themselves a Mr & their Rock n Roll simply by making themselves look stunning using someone else's image."

More comments joked: "Ffs, I matched and thought I’d struck lucky."

And finally, one concluded: "So this is real karma. And I definitely would have swiped right and dated you. You definitely look 23! For real!"
