Amy Dowden fights back tears as she shares fears about having children after cancer

Amy Dowden became emotional as she opened up on the prospect of having children following her battle with breast cancer.

The Welsh professional dancer, 35, was first diagnosed in 2023. She underwent chemotherapy and two mastectomies, with the most recent procedure taking place in November 2025.

After learning that the cancer treatment would put her into early menopause, the dancer opted to have fertility treatment.

Opening up about her journey on Tuesday’s episode of Celebrity Hunted, she told fellow Strictly Come Dancing dancer Carlos Gu that she has always wanted “the honour of being a mum”.

“Obviously I don’t know if that’s going to be possible,” she sobbed as she told Gu.
