The divisional round of the playoffs produced one of the most intense and thrilling weekends of professional sports in anyone’s lifetime. All four games were decided on a walk-off win on the final play.
Three of those were in regulation on game-winning field goals as time expired. The fourth, the instant classic between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, progressed to overtime when the Chiefs tied the game on a regulation-ending field goal.
Kansas City won the coin toss and the game by scoring a touchdown on the only drive of the extra session. The critical nature of the coin toss rubbed a lot of people wrong.
