Amish Devgan has announced his exit from Network18 on his prime-time show on News18 India.

Amish said on his show Aar Paar on Thursday, “Today, I want to talk personally to you…without the love and respect of you as the audience, I wouldn’t have been able to travel this far. It is my last day at Network 18, TV18 and News18. You will not see me anchor Aar Paar.”
Amish said that “in these 10 years, Aar Paar wasn’t just my show, but became the voice of the nation”. “My innings at News18 India finished today, but my journalistic journey will continue. On a new platform, new style, I will meet you soon.”
Amish served as managing editor for News18’s Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan channels. He is best known as the face of Aar Paar, a debate programme that made him one of the more recognisable figures of polarising TV news programming.
While the reasons behind his exit remain unclear, there is speculation that Amish is set to join Times Now Navbharat. Amish refused to comment when Newslaundry asked him about his exit and this buzz.
His Network18 stint has seen several controversies.
In 2020, multiple police complaints were filed against him over remarks made on air about the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Amish subsequently issued an apology. The Supreme Court had shielded him from arrest while allowing the cases to proceed. In 2024, the Congress wrote to the Election Commission seeking action against Amish over his Ram temple ‘monologue’.
