Shoppers in parts of Indiana and Ohio will likely see a new insurer when ACA open enrollment begins Nov. 1. AmeriHealth Caritas said it will offer 2027 marketplace plans in seven central Indiana counties and in Ohio's six largest metropolitan areas, Becker's Payer Issues reported. Premiums for the new plans have not been made public.
The expansion adds 60 counties to the company's marketplace footprint, bringing it to 135 counties across seven states, including Delaware. AmeriHealth Caritas is also widening its service areas in Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
