An American YouTube sensation boasting 1.7 million followers is visiting Ayrshire this weekend to begin two mammoth food challenges.
Big eater Randy Santel is on a whistle-stop tour of some of Scotland's top food challenges with his girlfriend Katina – also an online star who has almost 250,000 followers with her page Katina Eats Kilos.
The pair are set to visit popular Kilmarnock diner Hogan's where Katina will take on the ‘Hogan’s huge breakfast sandwich challenge’.
The stop-off in East Ayrshire on Sunday afternoon will be a trip down memory lane after Randy visited in 2016 to take on the gigantic breakfast tower consisting of sausage, bacon, eggs, black pudding and potato scones.
And this time Katina is set to step up to the plate in a bid to beat her other half who previously finished the mega-sandwich in 24 minutes and 19 seconds.
Randy, though, might fancy another crack at it after his time was beaten by Beard Meats Food from Yorkshire last year who smashed the big breakfast sandwich in 19 minutes 34 seconds.
Then on Monday, Randy will take on Big Dibby's "big durty cow" burger challenge at The Buf in Prestwick.
The foodie will attempt to scoff a burger tower consisting of five five-ounce patties layered up with onion rings and chilli.
And if the burger isn't enough for Randy, he'll need to polish off sides including chicken fajita tempura, buffalo wings and coleslaw.
The calorific creation has yet to be beaten, with punters promised a free meal if they can demolish the lot in 30 minutes.
Chef Dibby has watched on as bold foodies only managed half of the "durty cow burger" before collapsing with meat sweats.
But the Ayrshire cook is hoping Randy, who has completed challenges across the globe, will pass the test with flying colours.
Big Dibby told Ayrshire Live: "I've watched Randy on YouTube, I've seen the things he's ate, he's an absolute machine. Only a handful of folk have tried it and managed to only get halfway before they have to stop."
Owner Mark Hogan of Hogan's in Kilmarnock said: "Katina is going to take on the sandwich this time.
"Having things like this is great for us. Six years ago, when Randy first got in touch and said he was from America, we thought it was a joke. We're looking forward to having him back."
Randy will be appear at Hogan's at 3pm on Sunday and at The Buf at 1pm on Monday.
