NEW DELHI: American pacer Tara Norris on Sunday etched her name in history books, becoming the first bowler to grab a fifer in Women's Premier League.
Norris' feat came in Delhi Capitals tournament opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 2 at the Brabourne Stadium.
The 24-year-old ripped apart RCB's middle-order in steep chase of 224 as Delhi beat Smriti Mandhana and co. by 60 runs to to open their campaign on the winning note
Norris' wickets included Ellyse Perry (31), Disha Kasat (9), Richa Ghosh (2), Heather Knight (34) and Kanika Ahuja (0) as she finished with superb figures of 4-0-29-5.
The American was acquired by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 10 lakh in last month's WPL auction.
Norris is the only player from an associate nation in the inaugural WPL.
