Former American Pickers star Frank Fritz has been hospitalised after suffering a stroke.
The 56-year-old reality star has been rushed to hospital after the medical emergency, his former American Pickers co-star Mike Wolfe revealed to fans.
Wolfe asked fans of the History Channel series to “keep him in your hearts and thoughts” in an emotional social media message.
The reality star posted a photograph of Fritz smiling and in a candid message acknowledged the rife speculation since he left the show.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "I have been very private in the past year in regards to Franks life and the journey he’s been on.
“There has been lots of opinions in regards to mine and Frank’s friendship and the show but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.
“Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.”
He finished the message with a line directly to Fritz, writing: “Frank I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you buddy.”
American Pickers debuted on The History Channel in January 2010 and has gone on to be a firm favourite in America.
The series follows Mike, 56, and his pal Frank Fritz as the two of them travel the United States looking for antique treasures.
It was revealed last June that Fritz was leaving the show, as a culmination of many health problems, including a back surgery and suffering from Crohn's disease.
This comes after last year Mike Wolfe and his wife of ten years Jodi split up after almost a decade-long marriage.
Jodi stated the date of separation as June 2020 in legal papers, which also saw the reason for divorce cited as 'irreconcilable differences'.
The pair married in September 2012 and share a nine-year-old daughter, Charlie Faeth.
Jodi, who has a son, Kyle, from a previous marriage, 'would further show that all hopes of reconciliation are exhausted' the papers reportedly stated.
Jodi was diagnosed with Stage 2 non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in September 2013 and told The Glow that the diagnosis came as a total shock.
"Believe it or not even vegan, exercising, juicing mama's get cancer," she said. "I was the last one to expect it. Life was everything I could possibly dream of then bam."
