A tragic incident occurred at a private condominium complex in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, resulting in the death of a 43-year-old American man and injuries to another individual. The two US nationals were electrocuted while in a jacuzzi, with authorities attributing the incident to a possible electric discharge within the jacuzzi.
The General Prosecutor’s Office of Justice for the state of Sonora confirmed the details of the incident in a social media post. The victims, identified as American citizens of Mexican origin, experienced the electrical failure around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the electric discharge that led to this tragic outcome. Puerto Peñasco, also known as Rocky Point, is a popular fishing and resort city situated on the Gulf of California, located south of Arizona.
