American chicken chain Popeyes is opening in Liverpool city centre

American chicken chain Popeyes is set to open a new restaurant in Liverpool this year.

The fast food giant, which launched in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1972, opened its first UK branch in London in November last year. The chain now has a handful of sites across the UK.

Popeyes is set to open its doors in Liverpool city centre serving up its iconic dishes - including its Chicken Sandwich and original Southern biscuits and gravy.
