American bulldog Blaze searching for that 'spark' with a new family at Dogs Trust Manchester

Handsome, loveable, clever and playful are the words described to use American bulldog, Blaze, who needs a new home this side of Christmas. The nine-year-old pooch is certain to set your heart alight with his big smile and sweet personality.

This big white and tan lad loves his toys, and can’t wait to have a garden of his own where he can carry around his football, squeaky balls and his blanket.

The team at Dogs Trust Manchester say that Blaze loves humans so much and is sure to make the ideal companion for the right person.

Dogs Trust Manchester Manager, Lisa Eardley, said: “Blaze is such a playful and bouncy boy who loves to run around our compounds carrying his favourite football – it's so lovely to see!

"He loves to spend time with his favourite humans so will be a perfect companion for someone who is around for most of the day who is happy to build up time left alone gradually.”

Walkies are Blaze’s favourite part of the day as he loves to explore the great outdoors, putting his nose to good use. He is also great in the car and would love to join his new family out on adventures.

Lisa added: “He’s a keen student and knows a few tricks such as sit, down and paw and would enjoy learning more tricks with his new adopters.”

Blaze would like an adult-only home. He is happy to meet up with four-legged pals when he’s out and about, but he’d like to be the only pet in the home as he can be shy around other dogs, though the charity says he does have ‘a few girlfriends who he always likes to say hello to’.

A large garden where he can run around with his toys would be ideal, but Blaze will be unable to live with cats, as he ‘can be scared by them’.
