Ambitious $120m plan to expand city's private hospital pushes ahead

A MASSIVE 10-storey hospital expansion has been given the green light, as Lake Macquarie City Council looks to cement better health outcomes for residents.

The council has agreed to push ahead to a gateway determination to raise the maximum height of buildings allowed at the northern end of Lake Macquarie Private Hospital.
