Amber Gill gives stark warning to new Love Islanders – 'Watch out for liars and snakes'

Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill has given a stark word of warning to this year's contestants in a cryptic post.

The reality TV star, 24, referenced “liars and snakes in the grass” as she cautioned the new Islanders preparing to head to Mallorca.

Amber, who rose to fame on the ITV2 dating series in 2019, opened up an “ask me a question” box for her Instagram followers to get to know her better.

One fan took the opportunity to get some advice from the reality telly star, before they embark on their own Love Island adventure.

“I will be going on LI this year and need some advice. Sent you a DM but doesn’t go through x.”

Amber wrote back: "Be yourself. Do what you want to do. F**k thinking or caring about what anyone thinks about you and know yourself truly."
The star - who is often jokingly referred to as the first solo winner of Love Island despite winning with Greg O'Shea - went on to heed a warning, speaking from her personal experience of leaving the villa and returning to normal life away from the cameras.
“It only gets techy once you get out,” she cautioned with a laughing face emoji.
“You have to deal with a bunch of liars and snakes in the grass.
“LOOK AFTER YOURSELF,” she pleaded before urging the hopeful to message her privately for more details.

Amber captured the nation's heart in 2019, when she and Irish rugby player Greg were crowned the winners of that year's series of Love Island.

The Newcastle-born star coupled up with the sportsman after getting her heartbroken by Michael Griffiths thanks to the Scouse contestant getting his head turned in Casa Amor.

Amber and Greg went their separate ways not long after splitting the £50,000 cash prize.

Her career has gone from strength to strength since leaving the villa – she even released a romance novel recently – but Amber’s love life has been dogged by rumours and scandal.

Last year she revealed she had received death threats over speculation she went on dates with England star Jack Grealish.

Allegations swirled that Amber met up with the Man City striker days after it was also alleged Jack went on dates with TV actress Emily Atack.
