An Amazon worker crashed at high speed while high on drink and drugs and streaming music on his phone, flipping his car and killing a much-loved grandmother.
Abobakr Mohammed, 25, hit speeds of up to 77mph in a 30mph zone before he collided with 55-year-old Marion Whittaker in Gateshead in November last year, ChronicleLive reported.
The Amazon distribution centre worker had been drinking lager and had cannabis in his system when he drove into Newcastle with a co-worker in order to get food, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
