Amazon shoppers have been raving over an electric blanket they say is helping them keep their heating bills down. The Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Blanket comes in single, double and king sizes, starting at £30.
It plugs into the socket and is designed to sit above the mattress and under the bed sheet, Birmingham Live reports. And it is such low wattage that it only costs 1p per night to run - much cheaper than keeping the heating on all night.
Since the energy price cap rose at the start of October, many households are struggling with the cost of heating their homes. The electric blanket fits with Money Saving Expert founder Martin Lewis' advice of 'heating the human not the home' to save money.
