Amazon shoppers have been left impressed by a pair of budget friendly straighteners, with many vowing they will never splash out on premium brands again.
While expensive hair tools from GHD and Cloud Nine are no doubt industry leaders, they can be pretty pricey with many products costing well over the £100 mark. And as people look after their pennies more than ever, it is no surprise that shoppers are delighted by the results of a cheap alternative on Amazon.
Shoppers can snap up just about anything from the online retailer giant, with the Remington Ceramic Straight 230 Hair Straighteners S3500 proving a hugely popular product at the moment.
In fact, some shoppers have even hailed the hair tool the "best they've used", comparing the results to those of the more expensive options.
The straighteners were a topic of conversation in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group, reports Birmingham Live, with one woman writing: "Not sure if anyone has posted these before. But wow for £28 they are by far the best hair straighteners I’ve ever used. Always bought ghds. So when mine broke got these till payday. Can safely say I'll never use ghd again."
The social media post raked in over 150 comments with others sharing similar views on the product.
One comment read: "When my ghds broke years ago I got Remington but wide plate ones thinking they were a quick cheap fix, I’ve had them now probably 8 years maybe more lol and they’re still fab. Just bought my daughter a pair she loves hers too."
Another happy purchaser said: "I swear by these!!! My ghds broke and I got these to see me through until I got them fixed, and I’ve never used anything else but them since! They’re bloody brilliant!" while a third, said: "I got Remington after my ghds broke, had them for ages and would never get ghd again!
The Amazon review section is also full of praise, with 75 per cent of shoppers rating the straighteners five stars.
