Amazon began issuing a new round of automatic cash transfers and paper checks to current and former Prime members on Oct. 1, 2026.
The distributions stem from an updated court order that expands a $2.5 billion federal settlement originally reached in September 2025. The Federal Trade Commission sued Amazon after finding the retailer enrolled millions of shoppers into recurring Prime memberships without clear consent. It also created complex navigation pathways to prevent them from cancelling.
