Samsung and Sky had better watch out. Amazon has just announced that its very own TVs are launching in the UK and they are surprisingly cheap. Amazon has actually been selling its Fire-powered tellies in the US for a while and, due to the success of these own-brand screens, the online retailer has now decided to bring them to Britain.
From today, March 22, customers will be able to pop an Amazon telly in their shopping basket with prices starting from as little as £249.
That low cost is for the Fire TV 2 Series which comes in 32-inch and 40-inch screen sizes. The budget goggleboxes also include full HD displays, Dolby Digital Audio and even they ship with an Alexa remote which allows users to bark orders at the display and get a useful response.
If that doesn't sound big or pixel-packed for your nightly boxsets then don't panic as Amazon is also bringing its Fire TV 4-Series to the UK as well.
These 4K tellies feature Ultra HD and HDR10 technology for an improved visual experience that's four times better than standard 1080p High Definition.

Prices for the Fire TV 4-Series start from £429.99 and they are available to pre-order now.
Finally, there's more good news for anyone wanting the ultimate cinema-style experience in their living room with Amazon also launching its Fire TV Omni QLED Series in the UK.
As the name suggests, this range gets stunning 4K QLED screen technology for a richer and sharper image.
The Omni tellies also feature adaptive brightness which changes things depending on the light in the room and there is hands-free Alexa controls so user don't need to grab the remote to wake the clever smart assistant.
Other updates include Alexa Widgets, such as Calendar and Reminders, which appear on the screen plus there is full integration with gadgets such as smart thermostats and Ring doorbells.
Owners can also access dynamic art and new backgrounds, which adapt to their current environment—based on temperature, time of day, proximity, weather, and more
The Fire TV Omni QLED Series will be available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes starting at £549.99
