Amazon is offering two Echo Dots for the price of one in a special offer ahead of Prime Day, giving subscribers the chance to get one of the popular gadgets for free.
The online retail giant has already launched a range of deals before Prime Day officially kicks off on Tuesday, July 11, with shoppers snapping up a range of tech discounts on Fire TVs, smartphones, laptops and more. Alongside some serious price drops, Amazon is also offering buy one, get one free on some of its bestselling products including the ever-popular Echo Dot smart speaker.
The latest model of the speaker, which comes equipped with virtual assistant Alexa, currently has 22% off and now costs just £42.98 in the Amazon sale. And what's more, shoppers who sign up to Prime can take advantage of a buy one, get one free offer on the gadget when they add two Echo Dots to their basket.

Applying the promo code ECHODOT at the checkout with a pair of 5th Generation Echo Dots in Charcoal in your basket will allow you to get the two for £42.98. But you'll need to be quick to snap this offer up - it will come to an end at 9am on Monday, July 10.
You will need to be a Prime member in order to take advantage of this deal, as well as to gain access to a range of exclusive special offers on Prime Day. A subscription to Prime usually costs £8.99 a month, but if you're a new customer you can sign up to a free trial of the service - which also gives you free premium and same-day delivery on orders, as well as including Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Prime Reading.
As an extra perk, Amazon is making Kindle Unlimited available free for three months for new Prime Members who sign up for the service, meaning subscribers will be able to access millions of books, thousands of audiobooks and magazines at no extra cost. A Kindle Unlimited subscription would normally set you back £9.49 a month at full price.
Amazon shoppers with a Prime subscription can also grab a kids' version of the Echo Dot for better than half price this weekend. The Echo Dot Kids currently has 58% off, with both the Dragon and Owl models now costing £26.99 each instead of £64.99.
Tailored specially to little ones, the smart speaker allows kids to ask Alexa to play music, read a bedtime story, get help with their homework and more. The speaker also includes one year of Amazon Kids+ - a digital learning subscription designed for kids aged three–12.
And Echo Dots aren't the only Amazon gadgets seeing serious discounts ahead of Prime Day. There's also a buy one, get one free offer running for subscribers on the brand-new Echo Show 5, meaning you can get a pair of the devices for £88.98 if you apply the promo code ECHOSHOW5 at the checkout.
Another early-bird Prime Day deal offers Amazon shoppers money off the latest Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet, which is currently available at nearly half price for those with a Prime subscription - meaning you can get your hands on one for £104.99 instead of £199.99. The latest Fire TV Stick 4K is also going at a cheaper price - now £49.99 reduced from £59.99.
Amazon isn't the only retailer that has slashed prices on tech, with others stepping up the competition with the launch of mammoth summer sales. EE is offering money off phones, tablets, smartwatches and more, where shoppers can get the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S23 with unlimited data for £54 a month - a monthly saving of £14 compared to the usual price of £68 - with a free pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro wireless earphones, worth £219.
Customers can also get double the data when they opt for a SIM-only plan - the Essentials plan now costs £25 a month for a whopping 250GB of data instead of 125GB. If you're an existing EE customer, you'll also get 20% off every new SIM added to your account.
