Amazon has reduced a range of their popular Fire TV sticks, with some going for as little as £15, following their Spring Sale event.
The retail giant still has offers on most of their TV gadgets but with so many editions to choose from it can be hard to know which one to go for. Amazon's Fire Stick TV can give TV lovers an instant upgrade to their home entertainment system via a plug-in media streaming device that can convert a normal TV into a Smart TV.
The little device stays hidden behind the TV and users just need to turn on their TV and connect to the internet to get started. Once installed, the Fire Stick lets users stream video, install apps, play music and enjoy a host of Android apps and games that can be downloaded from the App Store.

With no monthly subscription fees, Fire Stick users just buy the model they prefer outright to enjoy free access to a range of channels including Freevee, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and more. Fire Stick users who want to watch Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and other streaming services, will be required to pay their monthly service subscription as usual.
Available directly from Amazon, as well as other retailers including Argos, Currys and John Lewis, the device is described as a fast and efficient way to access thousands of films, shows and other content without the need for contracts.
With a choice of five Fire Sticks to choose from, users can choose to increase the choice of channels on their current TV, or opt for a top-of-the-range 4K HDR viewing experience with Dolby Sound, depending on how much they want to pay.
All Fire Stick models also come with Amazon's famous cloud-based voice assistant, Alexa. Alexa can help with thousands of operations including answering questions about the weather, setting alarms and launching and operating compatible smart home devices.
When it comes to the Fire Stick TV range, Alexa can help users search for selected programmes and genres, and will operate the TV with a single voice control. We've compared the different models to see what they offer and which ones offer the best value for money in April 2023.

If you are invested in the emerging capabilities of the Amazon Smart Home ecosystem that includes Amazon Echo and other smart devices, even this entry-level Fire Stick is compatible, letting users ask Alexa to check the weather, dim the lights and even view supported live camera feeds, amongst other smart appliances.
What this entry-level model does not offer however is 4K or HDR capabilities, no TV control and no ethernet connection for gaming.
The Amazon TV Fire Stick Lite is also available for £29.99 at Currys and Argos.
Fire TV Stick (£34.99)
The latest Fire TV Stick claims to be 50% more powerful than the previous 2019 version and offers fast streaming in Full HD.
Viewers can still enjoy all of the apps, Alexa Skills and channels including Freevee, Youtube, ITVX, Channel 4, PlutoTV and more, as well Netflix, Prime Video, Now, Disney+, Eurosport, ITVX, Sky News and more with their own subscriptions.
This upgraded model also features new pre-set buttons on the Alexa Voice Remote letting users quickly search and launch programs across different apps. It also comes with Dolby Atmos support for home cinema-quality audio on selected titles.
For the uninitiated, Dolby Atmos provides better audio clarity, bigger distinction and crisper sound, a bit like the way sounds hit the ears in a cinema. While not a necessity for watching TV at home, it does enhance the overall viewing experience.
Another smart TV buzzword - Full HD - refers to the resolution on the TV screen and shows images that are 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels high, which gives a total of 2.07 megapixels. and a clearer picture. This will look much brighter and more immersive on a 4K TV.
Currently reduced from £49 on Amazon to £34.99, the Fire TV Stick is more powerful than the Fire TV Stick Lite and for the current £5 price difference it is worth paying that little bit more.
Fire TV Stick 4K HD (£39.99)
With £20 off the original price, the £39.99 Fire Stick 4k HD offers all of the above but also lets viewers watch in vibrant 4K Ultra HD with support for Dolby Vision, HDR and HDR10+.
The Fire TV Stick 4K is compatible with HD and 4K UHD TVs, but remember that 4K streaming requires 4K UHD TV and available 4K content.
The term 4K describes an ultra-high-definition screen resolution that means your favourite TV shows and films that have been filmed in HD will look faultless on the TV screen. It can also screen lower-resolution images too.
This model also offers home cinema audio with Dolby Atmos, and all the capabilities of the Alexa Voice Assistant to search and launch apps and connect with compatible smart home devices.
The Fire Stick 4K HD model is one of Amazon's best-selling home tech products with over 72,000 reviews on the Amazon website alone.
Available direct from Amazon with 33% off, customers can also pick up the same model at Argos, Currys and John Lewis.
Fire TV Stick 4K HD Max (£47.99)
Offering all of the capabilities of the above the Fire TV Stick 4K HD Max claims to be 40% more powerful than Fire TV Stick 4K, with faster app starts and more fluid navigation, making it Amazon's most powerful Fire TV Stick to date.
This upgraded model also comes with support for next-generation Wi-Fi 6 for smoother 4K streaming across multiple Wi-Fi 6 devices.
As expected, it also allows users to watch in vibrant 4K Ultra HD with support for Dolby Vision, HDR, HDR10+ and immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
In other respects, it offers all the same entertainment and connection features as the regular 4K HD model but costs a few pounds more at £47.99 while the discount deal lasts.
Amazon Fire TV Cube (£119.99)
As the top-of-the-range model, the Amazon Fire TV Cube is the fastest streaming device Amazon offers, featuring an octa-core processor that is twice as powerful as Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
Currently reduced from £139.99 to £199.99, the tiny cube offers hands-free Alexa with built-in mic and speakers that let users control a compatible TV, sound bar and receivers by just using voice commands.
Because it is a stand-alone box, it can be switched between streaming, a set-top box, a game console or even a webcam. It also features Wi-Fi 6E support for more capacity, wider channels, and less interference, and comes with cinematic 4K and support for Dolby Vision, HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
Viewers can watch all of the free-to-air and subscription channels found on all Fire Stick devices including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and more, plus listen to millions of songs. Subscription fees may apply.
This model also offers built with privacy protection and controls, including an off button that electronically disconnects the microphones, and the Alexa voice control can be used to make video calls, check the weather, view your security camera and much more.
