Amazon driver test positive for cannabis on way to deliveries

An Amazon driver tested positive for cannabis as he "sped" to his deliveries.

Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit posted on Twitter after they took "another drug driver off the road" while on shift on Friday, June 24. While on shift they stopped a van, which has the typical Amazon Prime livery, after they caught it going 48mph in a 30mph zone.

After stopping the vehicle they asked the man for a DrugWipe, which came back positive for cannabis. When officers asked about this, the man claimed he hasn't smoked it in "years".

The Roads Policing Unit account said: "The driver of this vehicle was stopped after he was caught speeding at 48mph in a 30mph zone. To make matters worse he tested positive for cannabis. Another drug driver off the road."

The tweet gained over 200 likes and dozens of comments within two hours of it being posted.
