Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried fans (that’s all of us, no?) rejoice, because the actresses are confirmed to be sharing the screen in new thriller, The Housemaid.
And, while we’re yet to receive official confirmation, according to Deadline, sources have reported that It Ends With Us star, Brandon Sklenar, will be joining the cast as Andrew.
The film is an adaptation of the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Freida McFadden and will be directed by A Simple Favor’s Paul Feig—a perfect match, given it’s a psychological thriller.
“Part of the fun of the book was imagining the cast while we read it, and Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are perfect for Millie and Nina – they’re both mysterious, nuanced, and incredibly skilled at becoming characters who don’t reveal everything right away,” Erin Westerman, co-president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said.
“We’re thrilled to team them with Paul Feig, who we worked with on A Simple Favor and its upcoming sequel and has a proven track record of developing stories with dynamic female leads.”
