SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — On Saturday, March 2, Amanda Serrano will return to Puerto Rico to face IBF mandatory challenger Nina Meinke in the historic Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Serrano(46-2-1, 30 KOs) a 35-year old boxer from Puerto Rico will defend her unified featherweight world titles from the IBF, WBO, WBA, and IBO at her second fight at 12×3, the men’s championship standard. This will be her first fight in Puerto Rico since she was became the undisputed champion. Serrano recently gave up her WBC belt since the sanctioning organization discourages women competing in 12×3 contests.
Alongside Serrano in the co-main event will be cruiserweight Jake “The Problem Child” Paul (8-1, 5 KOs), who is competing in his 10th professional bout after defeating professional boxer Andre August in the first round.
“Fighting for the first time at home in Puerto Rico alongside one of the greatest fighters ever, Amanda Serrano, promises to be the event of a lifetime,” said Paul in media reports.
Serrano’s first two contracted Puerto Rican fighters, Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez (27-3-1, 14 KOs), who will be making his third championship defense, and Krystal Rosado (2-0, 1 KO), a teenage super flyweight sensation, will both be participating on Serrano vs. Meinke.

Meinke, 30, from Germany, enters the ring prepared to take on Serrano’s challenge and create history in what will be the second-ever 12-round, three-minute women’s unified championship match. After a string of interim title bouts, the IBF mandatory featherweight challenger has gained recognition across Europe. Most recently, Meinke(18-3, 4 KOs)defeated Japan’s Kimika Miyoshi to win the WBA Gold World Featherweight title and Laura Ledezma to win the IBF Inter-Continental Featherweight title in October 2023.
