Amanda Owen looks worlds away from farm as she puts on stunning display on ITV Lorraine and she addresses 'tough' split from husband

Amanda Owen couldn't have looked further away from her usual territory as she made a dazzling TV appearance. The Yorkshire Shepherdess, who became a hit with the public through her Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm, appeared on Lorraine on Thursday morning (September 29).

She was on the show to chat to stand-in host Christine Lampard about her new book, which is actually her fifth, that is full of stunning photographs she has taken over the years at the family farm at Ravenseat through the different seasons.

But while on the show, Christine was keen to speak to Amanda about how her life has changed since finding fame with her television series alongside her nine children and now ex-husband Clive. "You never ever get used to the cameras coming in, being beamed into people's homes," Amanda admitted.

"I'm still not used to it now, I still pinch myself absolutely. But it's also opened up a wealth of opportunities you see, being able to share that with people, it's been a real privilege."

Asked if life had continued as normal in terms of the family and farm, she replied: "It does. That is reality. It is really tough and it is a really difficult aspect of it to get across. But when you do reality it has to be just that. That means it covers the ups and downs and that can be on any level.

"Life carries on on the farm. Obviously there is a whole raft of things to do – nine children, a whole heap of animals. We are just working away same as before. Because at the end of the day our priority remains, of course, to keep everything going. There you go, that’s how it is. I felt like that needed to be out there so that people… There are new projects going on. There are exciting projects going on."

Christine then asked: "And how has it affected the children? If it has at all?" before saying she recognises her children now. But Amanda seemed quite unsure about the line of questioning.

As she laughed at the question, Christine attempted to explain herself further and said: "In terms of people knowing who they are, I'm guessing you know just generally... I recognise their little faces now." Amanda responded: "They remain very, very unaffected because at the end of the day, they don't see their lives as anything out of the ordinary, who does?

"We're literally just doing our thing. Yeah, we get opportunities, we meet more people, there's people coming to the farm, they've even been out and about with me when I've been going to theatres and doing talks. So honestly, in real terms, it's just made us a whole lot busier."

Amanda looked gorgeous as she appeared opposite Christine, who caught viewers' eyes in a pink outfit. The mum-of-nine donned a pretty purple polka dot dress while her short brunette locks had bene styled into curls.

It is one of the rare occasions Amanda has been seen on live TV since she left fans saddened with the news of her split from husband Clive. The couple, who were married for 22 years, rose to fame through the Channel 5 show which follows their life on Ravenseat Farm.

Despite their split, they will continue to work together on the farm and co-parent their nine children - aged from 21 to five years old.
