BBC's I Can See Your Voice made its long-awaited comeback on Saturday night and once again, panelist Amanda Holden was at the brunt of her co-star Jimmy Carr's jokes. The comedian, 50, is renowned for teetering on the edge of controversy with his jokes and a comment made to the Britain's Got Talent judge, 51, even left host Paddy McGuinness shaking his head.
The series, which first aired last year, sees panelists Amanda, Jimmy and Alison Hammond help contestants to work out if the singers in front of them are actually good, or miming along to a much better singer, because they're actually terrible. Whilst the first episode of the new series provided audience members with several laughs from singers, Jimmy's quick-witted savagery also had them chuckling.
One of the singers up for speculation this week was 'No Scrubs', who was a young woman dressed as a doctor. Guest star Tony Hadley said he thought she was a real singer due to the way she moved her mouth, before Amanda mused: "She's a student, universities have theatre groups, after college they go out and sing for entertainment. I reckon she's not necessarily..." before Jimmy interrupted to quip: "How does Amanda know? She hasn't got a GCSE!"

Chronicle Live reports how, as startled 'ooohs' went out around the studio, the contestant playing the game leapt to Amanda's defence, saying: "She's an amazing singer though!" And, quick to pick up on Jimmy's dig, a BBC viewer at home tweeted: "Amanda hasn't got a single GCSE!' brutal."
As expected from the autumn - BBC's weekend schedule is looking strong. On Saturday nights, the broadcaster has been treating viewers to the likes of I Can See Your Voice, Blankety Blank, Strictly Come Dancing and this week, Michael McIntyre's The Wheel returns for its third series. Meanwhile, Sunday television features popular drama Bloodlands, Countryfile and the Strictly results show. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
