Amanda Holden hits Britain's Got Talent Golden Buzzer as ITV viewers make winner prediction

Amanda Holden fuelled 'winner' predictions from Britain's Got Talent viewers on Saturday night, after hitting her Golden Buzzer for breathtakingly impressive young singer Olivia Lynes.

Arriving at the end of a show which saw Bruno Tonioli change his vote on one act, after fierce backlash from the audience, Ant McPartlin leave the BGT set during an audition and Ant and Dec 'sabotage' the judges, Olivia seemed rather nervous as she took her spot on stage in front of the panel.

Looking up at her, Amanda remarked: "Can you imagine? She's just a teeny, teeny thing standing on the stage. How terrifying. I'd be terrified," but, scared or not, Olivia certainly didn't show any signs of nerves during her rendition of Wicked anthem Defying Gravity, getting better and better as the song went on.

As the song reached its famous crescendo, Alesha Dixon willed the youngster to hit the big notes and Olivia did so with ease, as the crowd rose to their feet and Britain's Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec applauded in the wings.

The 11-year-old looked in awe of the reaction she received, before, moments later, Amanda reached forward and hit the coveted Golden Buzzer, sending Olivia straight through to the live semi finals.

Amanda then told her: "I always go with what I'm feeling in my heart and everyone was on their feet. You truly deserved that moment Olivia. I felt so proud of you darling," with Simon Cowell remarking: "That was like a scene from a movie. You just blew the roof off. I mean, seriously, perfect, perfect, perfect Golden Buzzer."

Like the judges, plenty of Britain's Got Talent viewers ere also bowled over by Olivia, with a number of them tipping her to win the whole series. One tweeted: "This young girl will win #BGT2023," and also predicting great things for her, a second reacted: "Remember the name Olivia Lynes."
