Amanda Holden says she doesn't want her 17-year-old daughter "anywhere near" Love Island.
The ITV2 dating series is known for featuring the offspring and siblings of celebrities, with the most recent summer series starring Gemma Owen, daughter of former footballer Michael Owen, and Jack Keating, son of Boyzone's Ronan.
However Britain's Got Talent (BGT) judge Amanda, 51, says her daughter Lexi Huges, who is signed to a modelling agency, will not be following that path.
Both Amanda and her Heart Breakfast show co-host Jamie Theakston said they wouldn't let their kids on the popular show.
After they both objected, fellow Heart presenter Ashley Roberts said: "Why? They could find love.
"Gordon Ramsay feels the same as you. He doesn't watch it actually because he has three daughters doesn't even take the risk that one day they're going to just appear on the show."
Amanda, who has started filming another series of BGT, replied: "No way.. my daughter’s 18 next year," going on to say: "It's just another way of being famous, isn't it really? It's not really about love. It's just about looking hot and just getting involved... but I mean, it's just amazing telly but it's not really for love so I don't want my daughter anywhere near."
Ashley then pointed to a Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, himself the younger brother of superstar boxer Tyson Fury, who met on the show and have just welcomed a baby daughter, as an example of a couple who fell in love.
Amanda, who is also mum to Hollie, 11, replied: "I mean that's a one off that's a fabulous story."
In July, Amanda voiced her worries about Lexi going on the show, as the teenager watched the summer series, won by Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti, Gemma Owen the runner-up alongside Luca Bish.
She said: "So this is becoming a bit of an obsession with my teenage daughter at home now, whose never taken one scrap of interest in Love Island and now is all over it.
"Which worries me slightly bearing in mind that Michael Owen’s daughter is on it, and I’m like, 'you ain’t ever going on it, Alexa'."
When Jamie said it would be "perfect" for the show, Amanda responded: "No it wouldn’t. Mama said no. She loves me too much, she won’t do it!"
In March last year, the actress announced her daughter Lexi joined modelling agency Storm Management - which is known for having represented Kate Moss for much of her career.
She shared the news with the Daily Mail, stating that the modelling agency - often referred to simply as Storm - had been one of several who had approached her daughter.
Amanda said the deal was signed "this week," adding that the company "came after" Lexi - with her describing them as "very lovely and nurturing" towards the teenager.
She further commented: "It will be a soft, slow thing and [Lexi] won't do anything until she's 18 but they want her and that's what she wants to do."
