Amadou Onana has detailed the role his sister, Roberto Martinez and Romelu Lukaku played in his summer move to Everton and explained why Frank Lampard is the perfect manager for him.
The Blues completed the signing of Onana from Lille on a five-year deal back in August. West Ham United had agreed a £33.5m deal for the Belgian international but Everton nipped in ahead of their Premier League rivals.
And now reflecting on his move, Onana has revealed former Blues boss Martinez urged him to make the move to Goodison Park. “My sister and I plan my career and all the clubs I’ve been through are known for developing young players and bringing them to next step,” he told the Sunday Times.
