Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes that Marcus Rashford's and Alejandro Garnacho's improvements this season should offer Amad encouragement that he could also make the grade at Old Trafford.
The Ivorian, who joined United from Italian outfit Atalanta in January 2021, is currently on loan at Championship side Sunderland. He joined the Black Cats for the duration of the season back in August and has gone from strength-to-strength as the season has developed.
Amad, who has become a firm fans' favourite on Wearside, has racked up 24 appearances for the Black Cats, scoring seven goals and recording two assists in all competitions. He also currently finds himself on a run of five goals in his last ten league games.

After a failed loan spell north of the border with Scottish giants Rangers last season, United had to ensure they got their latest call with Amad's development right. Based on how this season has gone so far for the winger, sending him to Sunderland was a wise decision, such is the way he has developed quickly in a relatively short space of time.
Come the end of the season, however, United, again, will have a difficult decision to make on the Ivorian ahead of next term and the next stage of his development. United are well-stocked in wide areas, boasting a list of wingers featuring Jadon Sancho, Anthony Elanga, Facundo Pellistri, Antony, Rashford and Garnacho.
With that in mind, it is hard to see where Amad could possibly fit in at United, certainly as soon as next season. They are all of a young age and the likes of Sancho, Antony and Rashford will expect to start every week.
But despite opportunities and a pathway to the first-team appearing hard to spot at this moment in time, Saha is optimistic that Amad can force his way into the side, pointing to the way Erik ten Hag has changed United's attacking play.
"For him, I hope so," Saha told The Games Cabin when asked if Amad has a pathway to the first-team. "He's got a better chance of improving and developing at Manchester United now than he would have before.
"The development of Rashford can reassure young players out on loan that the dynamic of the club is different under Erik ten Hag. The attacking players now play a style of football that suits them because previously under other coaches, the style was a bit too defensive-minded.
"The form Amad has been in can allow him to come back to Manchester United with a goal to succeed like Alejandro Garnacho has. If Garnacho can do it, then why can't Amad?"
