Amad Diallo's post-Rangers career hangs in balance as Manchester Utd hire new manager Erik ten Hag

Amad Diallo's Manchester Utd future hangs in the balance following the appointment of new manager Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman was officially confirmed as their new boss who will take over at the end of this season.

Diallo has been a flop at Ibrox following his loan move so far.

The excitement of his initial signing came off the back of his whopping £32.7million pricetag from Atalanta to the Red Devils.

Diallo, 19, has only played a bit-part for Rangers since his debut when he scored inside the first five minutes.

But now, not only does it look like his loan will be a flop, he could also struggle to impress new manager Ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano suggests the new leader down south will analyse all stars currently on loan and make his decisions.

"It’s really important for Erik ten Hag to decide as soon as possible on the players who are out on loan," Romano said on his YouTube channel.

“Donny van de Beek, he knows Donny very well so he’ll have a conversation with him to decide on his future.

"Anthony Martial, he will be back from Sevilla and he wants to decide on Martial as soon as possible.

"He doesn’t want the club to arrive in August with these players maybe still available on the market.

"He wants these players to decide if they are a part of the project if not now, in May or in June. Not at the end of the market.

"Same for Amad Diallo, who’ll be back from Rangers.”
