Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies was arrested by police for drunk driving in his Lamborghini Urus on Thursday night.
According to German tabloid newspaper Bild, Davies was arrested by police for drunk driving just two days after starring in Bayern’s 1-0 win over PSG in the Champions League.
The report states that police noticed a ‘strong odour of alcohol’ when speaking to authorities and he was taken directly to a local station to carry out further testing.
Police found that the 24-year-old’s blood alcohol level was slightly above the legal limit, recorded at 0.6 g/l with the maximum set at 0.5 g/l for experienced drivers.
Within the German law, this was deemed an infraction and not an offence – with criminal sanction beginning at 0.8 g/l, so Davies facies a €500 fine and a one-month driving ban.
Davies trained with Bayern as normal on Friday morning and the club refused to comment on the matter when approached for a comment by Bild.

Davies linked with move away to Real Madrid as Bayern contract nears expiry
The Canadian’s contract with Bayern expires at the end of this season and he’s been linked with a move away from the German giants – with Real Madrid reportedly in pole position for his signature.
In March, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl admitted that the club had offered a ‘very concrete and appreciative’ contract to the player but it appears he prefers a new challenge.
Davies joined the Bundesliga leaders in January 2019 after moving from the Vancouver Whitecaps as a 17-year-old, which marked a record fee for a MLS player at the time.
Earlier this month, the player’s agent moved to deny claims that Davies had an agreement in place with Madrid and insisted there are plenty of options on the table – including one to remain in Munich.
It’s fair to say Davies has a taste for the finer things in club football, winning five Bundesliga crowns and a Champions League at Bayern – so he would likely feel right at home in Madrid with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham.
