Almost half a million Irish viewers tuned into the final of Love Island on Monday night.
Figures released by Virgin Media reveal 491,000 viewers tuned into Virgin Media Two - main show and repeat - to see Ekin-Su and Davide crowned Love Island winners for 2022 with 120,000 live streams delivered for the show on Virgin Media Player.
The live final pushed Virgin Media Two to number one channel in Ireland on Monday for adult 15-34 and adult 25-44 demographics while taking the top spot of the best performing Love Island final since 2019.

The final show averaged 304,000 viewers, +2% on last year's final, with a very strong appeal amongst adult 15-34 demo, delivering a 50% share of viewing in the slot.
ITV2 also revealed an average of 2.9 million tuned into ITV2 on Monday night.
The 2021 final had a slightly lower average of 2.8 million viewers.
The latest series launched to a consolidated five million viewers across all devices, according to ITV, making it the biggest launch since 2019.
ITV has also announced there will be two series of the show in 2023 – a winter series in South Africa and a summer series in Majorca.
