Almost 600 dock workers to stage two more weeks of strikes

Unite Peel Ports PEEL

Two more weeks of strikes are to be held by almost 600 Port of Liverpool workers in a long-running dispute over pay and jobs.

The strike action will take place from October 24, to November 7, Unite confirmed.

The news comes after Peel Ports announced job cuts at the docks because of the "marked deterioration" in the volume of containers it handles".
