Nearly €400,000 has been raised so far for the four Irish boys who made headlines after losing both their parents within a matter of months.
The brothers from Co Kerry are aged from 5 to 21 and were appealing to the public to help raise enough money to purchase their family home ‘to secure their future.’
Patrick Clifford, 21, and his brothers Jack, 14, Andrew, 8, and Conor, 5, tragically lost both of their parents to cancer within a five-month period.
Their mother Elaine passed away in August 2021 and just months later, Padraig, their father was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.
He was admitted to hospital, and just eight days after his diagnosis, he tragically died leaving their four young sons behind.
According to the GoFundMe page, “the boys now reside in the rented family home in Milltown; this fundraiser is being set up to raise enough money to allow the Clifford boys to purchase their family home and secure their future.
“Any donations to help the Clifford boys reach their goal of owning their own home would be very much appreciated.”
The goal amount set on the page was €250,000, but with the kind nature of the public, a whopping €366,133 has been donated by around 12,700 people living across the globe.
Organiser Mary Hayes has said the Clifford family is "extremely grateful, and that "any donations to help the boys reach their goal of owning their own home would be very much appreciated.
"The Clifford family are extremely grateful for the kindness and generosity they have received during this very difficult time.”
