Almost 200 jobs at Liverpool John Lennon Airport available now

Almost 200 jobs are available as Liverpool John Lennon Airport hosts a recruitment day.

The airport's recruitment drive will take place in the terminal building from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, February 14. Various employers based at John Lennon Airport, including handling agent Swissport, aviation security company Wilson James, catering company SSP, passenger assistance company ABM and retailers such as Boots, will be looking to fill vacancies.

Those interested in a career at the airport will be able to speak to representatives from the companies, with some keen to conduct interviews on the day. Appointments are not required in advance.

At the moment, a range of opportunities are available at Liverpool Airport including aviation security officers, handling agent passenger services roles, baggage handling, passenger assistance for people with disabilities, catering and related front of house roles, bar work and retail work.

Last year the airport held a similar event, which was attended by almost 1,000 people and saw a queue out of the door. Businesses are now looking to recruit before the summer season at the airport, which will see an increased number of flights.

Carol Dutton, the airport's HR & community director said: “Following the success of last year’s event, we are once again opening our doors so that anyone considering a career at the airport can find out about a host of positions currently available across a diverse range of employers.

"We look forward to welcoming lots of applicants with many hopefully starting work here in the coming weeks for different employers, all with the common goal of giving our passengers the best possible airport experience.”
