Almost 200 of homes and businesses in Salford have been left without power this morning (Monday). The outage was reported just before 4.40am.
Around 193 properties in the Kersal and Broughton areas are understood to be affected. Electricity North West says engineers are en route and they hope to have power restored by around 7.30am.
Affected postcodes are M6 6WF, M6 6PE, M6 7DG, M6 6WG, M6 6NA, M6 6LS, M6 7EE, M6 6NN, M6 6PB, M6 6PU, M6 6LY, M6 6GD, M6 6LX, M6 6LL, M6 6PF, M16 6ER, M6 6PD, M6 6FL and M6 7GS.

Electricity North West posted on its website: "This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity to your home or business. We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible."
