Ally McCoist wants DJ Schak to play at his next birthday party after watching him perform inside St James' Park.
Shakeil Luciano, known as Schak, was asked by Newcastle United to play inside the stadium ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Southampton on Tuesday night.
The Magpies are heading to Wembley for the Carabao Cup final after beating Southampton 3-1 on aggregate. Sean Longstaff was on the score sheet twice as the second leg ended 2-1 to the toon. They had already secured a 1-0 advantage during the first leg at Saint Mary's last week thanks to a goal from Joelinton.
Schak got the crowd bouncing before kick-off when he played a set in the Gallowgate East Corner. The 30-year-old, from North Shields, North Tyneside, played Newcastle United theme related tunes for 10 minutes between 7.30pm and 7.40pm.
One of the club's co-owners Mehrdad Ghodoussi asked the rising star to play in the ground after spotting a video of him playing a spontaneous set outside the ground.
Schak previously told Chronicle Live: "Being asked to perform at St James' Park is a childhood dream come true. It's just an honour to be able to do something like this. I feel so privileged."
Ally McCoist, who was commentating on the game for Sky Sports, told viewers: "I'll need to have a think about him for my next birthday party!"
Schak replied to the former footballer's comment in a Twitter post, telling him: "Ally mate I'll do ya birthday party anytime pal".
On Wednesday morning, Ally told talkSPORT: "I'm getting DJ Schak for my birthday. He'd fill the village hall in Bridge of Weir! I'm going to write to him. Different class."
Schak responded by saying: "Hahaha love it. Ally still think it's mental you mentioning my name when I used to listen to you so much playing on FIFA 2003 what a belter game that was."
He went on to say: "Mate let us get our two step on".
Schak released his first song Moving All Around (Jumpin') [feat. Kim English] last year after being signed by DJ Patrick Topping's label Trick. The tune has been played on radio stations and in clubs across the country.
He previously hit the headlines after creating short videos to promote Moving All Around. They showed people raving to the track while on a double decker bus, the Metro, the Shields Ferry and inside a showroom kitchen at B&Q in North Shields.
He also played at St. James' Metro Station following the Magpies' Premier League victory over Chelsea in November. Schak's video caught the attention of Mehrdad, who shared it on Twitter and joked: "Can't believe I missed this an invite would be appreciated next time #NUFC"
