Ally McCoist was in tears of laughter as he revealed how Roy Keane gave him a characteristically cold response in the Qatar sun during the World Cup.
The Rangers hero was on commentary duty for ITV in Qatar and both he and Keane had the same idea on a rare afternoon off. McCoist headed to the beach for a swim and found it completely abandoned - apart from one sun lounger occupied by former Celtic and Manchester United star Keane. The reclusive Irishman isn't famed for being a people person and McCoist had to resist the temptation to pull up right next to him and noise him up, but thought better of it.
He settled for a thumbs-up as he chuckled on talkSPORT: "I had a belter with Roy at the World Cup when I had an afternoon off. I nipped down to the beach for an hour because I like a wee swim, so I walked down to the beach which was right next to the hotel.
