Top pundit Ally McCoist has given his verdict on the Nottingham Forest’s survival chances – and it has left him feeling "terrible".
The Reds’ hopes of preserving their Premier League status suffered a setback ahead of the international break as they suffered their first home defeat since September against Newcastle United on Friday after Alexander Isak’s last-gasp penalty.
The result left Steve Cooper’s side two points above the relegation zone. With eight teams embroiled in the scrap for survival, there promises to be plenty of twists and turns between now and the final round of fixtures at the end of May.

Rangers and hero McCoist and former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour have been giving their verdict on the relegation battle, and both fear Forest will be making a quick return to the Championship.
Parlour told talkSPORT: “It’s going to be so close. I think Leicester should have enough. Do you know what, I think Leeds will now as well, they had that great result at the weekend against Wolves. I’m going to go for Forest. They’re pretty good at home but away it’s just not happened.”
Fellow pundit McCoist agreed, adding: “Exactly the same as Ray. I think Forest will drop out too and I feel terrible. A few weeks ago, I thought they were away. They gave their manager a new contract and they were picking up some good results.
“As Ray says, if Forest do stay up it will be down to their home form.”
