ALLY MCCOIST has hilariously bitten back at John Kennedy after the Celtic assistant reportedly provided RB Leipzig with a scouting report before last night's Europa League semi-final.
Leipzig assistant, Andreas Hinkel, was a former teammate of Kennedy's and before the match he said: “Of course we have analysed them & collected a lot of information. Among other people we have spoken to on the phone & asked for info from is John Kennedy, the Celtic assistant coach, my former teammate & someone I still stay fairly closely in touch with.
“It’s a team geared strongly for the physical aspects. That is defensively robust players who stay compact & defend well. But their counter attacking game is also quite strong & they have dangerous attackers. Not for nothing are they in the semis."
McCoist was on commentary duties for BT Sport last night in Germany and he has hilariously bitten back at Kennedy's undercover tactics, accusing Celtic of treason.
He joked on Scottish Football Extra: "Don't start me on the coefficient by the way. Everybody in Scotland seems delighted with the coefficient apart from John Kennedy.
"He is trying to lower the coefficient by all accounts. Andreas Hinkel phones him 'hey John, what about that Rangers?'.
"Ah yes I will give you all the information you want Andreas, you're from Germany, that will really help the coefficient in Scotland.
"Have all the information on Rangers! What is going on with you lot? It's treason I tell you, treason!"
