Ally Ewing facts:

1. Ally Ewing was born 25 October 1992, in Tupelo, Mississippi - though McDonald is her maiden name.

2. She grew up in Fulton, Mississippi, and first started playing golf competitively when she was 10-years-old. Ewing credits her family and Stanley Ramey, the course superintendent where she played in her formative years, as having the most influence on her career.

3. She won the Mississippi State Amateur twice, plus the North and South Women's Amateur.

4. She played college golf at Mississippi State University, where she won five events. She graduated in 2015, after becoming a two-time First Team All-American at the university.

5. She was on the winning 2014 USA Curtis Cup team at St. Louis Country Club. She won 3 points from 4 matches including her singles match vs Annabel Dimmock.

6. Ewing turned professional in 2015, and finished T22 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn a conditional LPGA Tour card for the 2016 season.

7. She recorded four runner-up finishes on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour) in 2016 to finish 2nd on the money list and earn her full LPGA Tour card.

8. She won her maiden pro title on the LPGA Tour at the 2020 LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Georgia, where she beat Danielle Kang by one.

9. She replaced the injured Stacy Lewis on the 2019 USA Solheim Cup team, where she won once and lost three times in her debut at Gleneagles.

10. Ally started using her married named Ewing in late 2020, switching from her maiden McDonald after marrying her husband Charlie in May 2020. He is the head coach of the Mississippi State women's golf team.

11. She won her second LPGA Tour title at the 2021 Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play, where she defeated Sophia Popov 2&1 in the final.

12. Her third LPGA Tour win came in 2022 at the inaugural Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinatti, Ohio. She finished at 22-under-par to win by one.

13. Her best Major finish is a T3 at the 2024 US Women's Open. She was also T5 at the 2024 KPMG Women's PGA and made the cut in all five women's Majors in 2024.

14. Ally has Type 1 diabetes which she was diagnosed with right after learning she had secured her card on the Epson Tour.

15. Her caddie is Kurt Moskaly, an Ohioan who had previously been on the bag for Solheim Cup player Megan Khang

16. Ewing is a Christian.

17. She enjoys hunting with her family and husband, mostly hunting deer.

18. She led the LPGA Tour in greens in regulation for the 2022 season with 77.69%.

19. She has represented USA at the Solheim Cup four times: in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024.
