Allow Us to Make a Case for Including at Least One Cape in Your Colder-Weather Wardrobe

When Chemena Kamali was first named the new creative director of Chloe, we weren't sure what to expect. Thankfully, as evidenced by her first collection during the Fall 2024 season, she's bringing the boho vibes back where they belong. Somehow she even made capes part of the program, offering short and sweeping versions alike. Although not normally associated with boho, Kamali made it make sartorial sense by draping them over frilly, breezy blouses and dresses. Which has inspired us to make room for Fall 2024 capes in our seasonal wardrobe shuffle. (That's saying a lot since space is currently at a premium.)

While Chloe's coated creations top our shopping list, there are other options to consider. On the shorter side, Etro has a velvet paisley take that has autumn written all over it. Black leather more your thing? See and instantly fall in love with TOTEME's cape vest.
