Allocate Rs 7,000 crore to Telangana in budget: KT Rama Rao to Nirmala Sitaraman

HYDERABAD: Telangana municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao has urged union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman to allocate about ₹7,000 crore to Telangana government in the upcoming union budget for 2022-2023 financial year by way of funding or contribution.

He asked financial assistance from the Centre for various projects under municipal administration and urban development department such as expansion of metro rail connectivity in the city, construction of flyovers, junction improvements, strategic road development programe (SRDP), linking of East and West parts of Hyderabad city, and construction of sewerage treatment plants.
