Allison Holker Pays Tribute To Late Husband On Dance Show

Allison Holker

Allison Holker paid tribute to her late husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, during the season 18 premiere of So You Think You Can Dance on Monday, March 4. Holker tearfully honored Boss, describing him as an icon and a legend who brought out the best in everyone around him. The episode featured a montage of Boss’ memorable moments on the show, closing with a title card that read, “Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss 1982-2022.”

Holker and Boss shared a special connection with the show, having met during season 2 in 2006. They became a couple during season 7 in 2010 and later tied the knot in December 2013. The couple welcomed two children together and Boss also adopted Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship.

In December 2022, Boss was found dead at a Los Angeles hotel, with the cause of death confirmed as suicide. Holker expressed her devastation, highlighting Boss’ positive impact on their family and fans. She emphasized that his legacy would be remembered and honored daily.

Months later, Holker gave her first televised interview since Boss’ passing, expressing her shock and sadness over the situation. She revealed the difficulty of discussing the loss with their children, who see their father as being in the stars. Holker also shared a video of her return to dance in August 2023, acknowledging the emotional journey she was on.

In the wake of the tragedy, Holker faced challenges in coping with the loss of her husband and supporting her children through their grief. She emphasized the importance of mental health awareness and seeking help if needed.
